Tim Hortons Wins Big at Wainwright Awards
The day of its fifth birthday in Wainwright, Tim Hortons picked up business of the year at the Wainwright Small Business Awards of Excellence Friday.
It was a full house for the gala and awards ceremony at the Wainwright Communiplex, presented by the Wainwright and District Chamber of Commerce.
Councillor Randy Tizzard, Reeve Bob Barss and Battle River-Wainwright MLA Doug Griffiths all attended. The night's guest speaker was Internet marketing expert Jeff Schneider.
This year, the chamber received more nominees than ever before.
The winners were:
Employee of the year – Carley Herbert, Town of Wainwright
Volunteer of the year – Ian Pratt
Inspiring youth of the year – Kristin Propp, Wainwright High School
Farm Family – Synder Family Far, Edgerton
BRAED Appreciation Award – Rent World
New business of the year – In the Studio
Business of the year – Tim Hortons
