Renovations in Bud Miller Park are not being restricted to the outdoors. The Lloydminster Leisure Centre, located in the park, will have its own renovations, which will include a more accessible reception area starting next Monday.

“We cater to a wide range of patrons, so it’s imperative that the Leisure Centre’s amenities, including the front reception areas, are easy to access,” said the centre’s aquatics manager Kylie Hoskins in a press release. “We look forward to reopening an upgraded facility for the public’s recreational pursuits and enjoyment.”  

The centre will be closed to the public from Aug. 13 to Sept. 9 as part of its annual maintenance.

The projects to be completed during that time include tile repairs, painting and plumbing work. The instructional pool and wave pool will be drained for cleaning. “This is routine, preventative maintenance,” says Hoskins.

Registration for fall programs will be available online during the closure.

The centre will reopen Sept. 10.
