NewsFirst Degree Murder Charges Stayed for Lloydminster Man
Friday, August 3, 2012 - 2:49 PM A Saskatchewan Crown Prosecutor has stayed the first degree murder charges against Nelson Beverly Brown. The 74-year-old Lloydminster man was arrested following the investigation into a mobile home fire at 29 Eastwood Trailer Court in Lloydminster on January 24, 2010. That fire resulted in the death of the accused's common law wife, Irene Mae Bruynooghe. She was 68-years-old. The charges were stayed after an examination of the evidence by an additional independent fire expert who completed a full review of the case. The exact cause of the fire is undetermined, and Brown is no longer being considered a suspect in this case. Most Viewed Stories
