Evacuations Lifted in R.M. of Frenchman Butte

The R.M. of Frenchman Butte has lifted the evacuation order as of Thursday afternoon. Residents are being told they are still on alert.
Crews are working on the ground and the helicopter is still on site. Hot spots, wind and smoldering brush piles are still a concern for officials.
The area involved in the fire has been determined to be 1605 hectares.
The state of emergency in the R.M. of Frenchman Buttee remains in effect.
